History

 
In 1965 Morris and Betty Montgomery started a small dealership known as Cape Mobile Home Mart, which in time became one of the largest dealership chains in the nation. The current location served as the home for this enormous company for many years. In the late 1980's the Montgomery's decided to downsize the business. In 1991 they turned the company over to their son, Monty. The name was changed to Monty's Manufactured Homes, but the work ethic and customer service remained the same. Monty would operate a very successful dealership for 16 years before selling the company in 2007 to Glyn and Kim Ferrell.
 
Glyn Ferrell's experience in the manufactured home industry goes back to his early childhood. His parents Marvin and Florence Ferrell started the very first manufactured home dealership in Southeast Missouri in the early 1960's. The name they gave this new company was Ferrell Mobile Homes. Being raised in the manufactured home business, Glyn was taught every facet of the business from delivery, installation & set up, central heat and air installation, manufacturing and construction of homes, financing, insurance, and the all important service issues that are required. Glyn gained valuable knowledge from the early pioneers of the Manufacturered Housing industry. It was his priority to grow and maintain these relationships, as well as developing new ones.This led to his election as President/CEO of Ferrell Mobile Homes Inc. As Glyn obtained ownership in 2007, he brought his additional knowledge and experience to share in the operations of  Monty's Manufactured Homes.
 
It takes more than just selling homes to have a successful company. Generations of involvement in the Manufactured Housing Industry, along with priority and dedication to customer satisfaction all contribute to the success and longevity of Monty's. We extend our great appreciation to the many new and repeat customers that continue to put their trust in us to fulfill their housing needs.
 
 
 
 
 
SERVICE AREA
 
 
We service the states of Missouri, Illinois, Kentucky, Tennessee, and Arkansas. We strive to follow regulations and attend continuing education classes on setup and installer programs for the states we are licensed in.  
 
 
SET-UP AND SERVICE
 
We have our own State Certified Set-up Crews to insure your home is installed properly and in accordance with Manufacturer of your new home.  We are proud to have our own knowledgeable and experienced Service Team and Parts Department to assist you. All of our new homes are backed by a manufacturer warranty and comprehensive service departments.
 
 
HOME SITE EVALUATION
 
Before delivery of your home we send an experienced member of our delivery and set-up installers to inspect your site. He will inform you of any items that may hinder the delivery and placement of your home. He will advise you of any site corrections that may need to be performed to insure the safe delivery, placement, and set-up of your home. We provide this service at no additional cost with the purchase of your home. 
 
Insurance
 
We have several licensed insurance agents on staff. Each one stays current on continuing education and specializes in Manufactured Home insurance. We have very competitive rates. Policies can be designed to include flood and earthquake insurance in Missouri and Illinois.
 
CONCRETE FOUNDATIONS
 
We suggest that all new manufactured homes have a concrete foundation. Some manufacturers require concrete to support the home when located in areas where thawing and freezing of the ground occur. We highly recommend a solid concrete slab to place your home on. It aids in a quality set-up and provides years of easy access to the crawl space underneath your home. If you are unable to located a contractor we have approved, insured, and license concrete contractors available in which we can give you a quote.  
 
 
FINANCING
 
We have several lenders willing to assist you with financing. With established and excellent credit,  financing with as little as 5% down payment may be an option. If you have your own land we have lenders offering programs to use land in lieu of down payments. We have programs for those wanting to purchase land with a home and package both together as one loan. If you have a credit score of 575 and with a minimum 10% down, the Banner Program may be an option for you!  We also have 2 lenders that provide equity financing for those with marginal credit  scores and history. 
 
Licensed Loan Originator
 
We now have a licensed and bonded loan originator on staff. Passing the Federal and State exams he maintains his continuing education requirements, as well as, staying abreast of the New "Dodd-Frank" requirements governing the Manufactured Housing Financing Industry. Manufactured Home Financing has adopted new rules designed to aid in the decision making for the consumer. We applaud these new rules and strive to adhere to the protection they provide the consumer.
