About Southern Energy

Southern Energy introduced its first line of manufactured homes in 1982. Our homes were immediately recognized in the market for their innovative floor plans and décor. In addition, we were the first to offer custom modification to our homes. Customization has become a hallmark of SEhomes, Inc. and has provided a distinct marketing advantage since our beginning.

Our operations evolved over time, including our increased ability to provide custom solutions in manufactured housing. In 1998, SEhomes created four distinct lines to meet differing customer needs. This action made Southern Homes into what it is today: a quality home at a competitive price.

In 2006, SEhomes, Inc. was purchased by Clayton Homes, a Berkshire Hathaway Inc. subsidiary. This purchase allowed Southern Homes to utilize the larger corporation’s resources such as product supply and marketing. Those benefits help the ultimate goal of keeping quality and service up and prices down for the consumer.

Today, Southern Homes focuses are quality and service. All of our associates, from production personnel, to corporate officers, share in our vision of providing outstanding customer service and manufacturing the highest quality homes in the industry.
